ABOUT THE UPOAR COMPETITION
The UPROAR Competition celebrates and honors the diverse and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community. The competition brings together contestants from various backgrounds and identities, showcasing their commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and seeks to foster a sense of unity and acceptance., The competition is not only a platform for self-expression and empowerment but also a symbol of the resilience and strength of the LGBTQIA+ community in the face of adversity and discrimination.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATION
Eligibility:

Contestants must be a member of the LGBTQIA+ Community.

Contestants must be at least 21 years of age.

Contestants must have a strong interest in or connection to the Leather and BDSM community.
Application and Entry Fee:

Contestant Responsibilities:

Contestants are expected to actively participate in fundraising efforts leading up to the competition.

They must adhere to a code of conduct that reflects positively on the leather and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Fundraising:

Contestants are required to raise any amount of money for the designated charity or cause. This can involve various activities such as charity auctions, donation drives, or organizing fundraising events.
Judging Criteria:

Judges will evaluate contestants based on several criteria, which will include personality, leather attire, stage presence, community involvement, and fundraising efforts.
Attire:

Contestants are expected to wear their attire during various segments of the competition. This may include leather jackets, pants, harnesses, boots, and other accessories.
Question and Answer Segment:

Contestants will be asked questions related to their involvement in the LGBTQIA+ communities, their views on important issues, and their vision for the title they are competing for.
Charity Focus:

The primary purpose of the competition is to raise funds for a designated charity or cause. Contestants should be passionate about the chosen charity and be willing to contribute to its success.
Title and Responsibilities:

The winner of the competition is awarded a title, such as "Mr. Uproar" or "Ms. Uproar" or “Mx. Uproar” and may be expected to represent the leather and LGBTQIA+ communities at various events and fundraisers during their reign. This includes (MAL/Parade of Title Holder- 2024) January 14, 2024 (afternoon)

Uproar will sponsor the winner for future title event (2024-2025).

The winner will be awarded $1,000.00, Uproar’s sash/medal, VIP entrance to all Uproar’s events. Winnings will be direct deposit, and a W-9 is required.

Contestants and winners are expected to maintain a positive and respectful image within the community and promote inclusivity and acceptance.
CATEGORIES USED BY PANEL OF JUDGES

Presentation/Image - This category assesses how well a contestant presents themselves on stage. It includes factors like confidence, poise, stage presence, choice of attire, grooming, and overall appearance. Contestants are judged on their ability to make a strong first impression.

Interview - Contestants will be interviewed by a panel of judges. This category evaluates their knowledge, their communication skills, and their ability to articulate their thoughts and opinions.

Community Service – Contestants must place a strong emphasis on community involvement and service. Contestants are judged on their contributions to the communities, such as volunteer work, fundraising, or organizing events.

Speech – Contestants are require to deliver a speech. This category assesses their ability to express themselves and convey their views on important topics within the LGBTQIA+, Leather, and BDSM communities.

Knowledge - Contestants may be quizzed on their knowledge of history, traditions, and protocols of the LGBTQIA+/Leather/BDSM community.

Hot Appeal – Judges will assess the contestant’s confidence while wearing what makes them feel sexiest.
